Market Structure Analysis | Monday, June 15, 2026
📊 QUICK TAKE: The market absorbed a brutal CPI print and came out the other side. CPI May 2026: +4.2% YoY — the hottest read since April 2023. The Dow crashed 950 points on June 10. Then the market read the details, digested the math, and recovered: S&P +0.61% WTD to 7,431.46, Nasdaq +0.70% WTD to 25,888.84. Why? Because 60%+ of the CPI spike was pure energy — Iran/Hormuz supply shock, NOT broad demand inflation. Core CPI came in at only +0.2% MoM, below the 0.3% expected. That distinction matters enormously for what Warsh does Wednesday. FOMC June 17 (Warsh) is 48 hours away. Rate hike probability: 97% hold. The language he uses will define the second half trade. Meanwhile: NEW PICK — Goldman Sachs (GS) at $1,062.75. Within 3.4% of its 52-week high. The single best-positioned large-cap financial for "rates higher for longer." JPM already proves the thesis (+$28/share from entry). GS is JPM's premium-tier equivalent. NVDA ($205.19) and AAPL ($291.13) are on STOP ALERT — both within $10 of their stops. Manage those FIRST. Then position GS for the FOMC volatility entry.
